OSS Cub3d Series Underway at America’s Cardroom

Updated: April 16th, 2017 by Dev Ops

If you haven’t checked out the latest Online Super Series at America’s Cardroom, flagship site of the Winning Poker network, now’s the time.  The OSS Cub3d, ACR’s three-part online tourney series, recently began, and offers plenty of action all the way through the series’ final event on May 9th.  The 2017 edition of this series, on the second largest online-poker site offering services to players in most US states, offers a combined $5.7 million in prize-pool guarantees.  The large majority of that money still waits to be claimed over the series’ final three weeks.

“We’re excited to announce the return of our biggest online tournament series, and we can’t wait to see how big it grows,” said America’s Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. “The OSS Cub3d features $5.7 Million in prize money, but we anticipate it’ll set records once again. Come be a part of it.”

ACR’s dictate to participating players to “get ready to go triple big” describes the interrelated three-series format that’s all wrapped up together in the OSS Cub3d.  Those three components:

  • MOSS (Mini Online Super Series)
  • OSS (Online Super Series)
  • BOSS (Bigger Online Super Series)

As one would expect from those acronyms, the small, medium, and high levels — referring to the buy-ins for specific events — are designed to offer something for every online player, regardless of bankroll, though the bottom tier, the “MOSS” series, has just wrapped up play.  Next up is the OSS, starting on Wednesday, April 19th, and running through Sunday, April 30th.  And that leaves the BOSS five-day finale, beginning on Wednesday, May 3rd, and ending on Sunday, May 7th.

Both of the remaining series offer their own special highlights.  Don’t think, for example, that a pricey event or two doesn’t sneak its way into the mid-range OSS, for example.  ACR’s next edition of its featured Million Dollar Sunday evebt runs on April 30th, serving double duty as the OSS’s main event.  Expect a big field to take part.

Overall, the OSS Cub3d has shown itself to be a success: 2016’s debut series offered $4.5 million in total guarantees, and this year’s $5.7 million base represents a jump of more than 20%.  Plus, there’s actually even more up for grabs than just the money.  Prize bracelets and Punta Cana Poker Classic travel packages are being awarded to the series’ top performers.  The sterling silver bracelets are being awarded to the winners of the MOSS, OSS, and BOSS main events, while the $4,900 Punta Cana trips, three of ’em, are tied to a leaderboard competition spanning the entirety of the OSS Cub3d.  Don’t despair if you’re just starting with the OSS offerings, as points from the concluded MOSS eents make up only a small portion of the points awarded.

Here’s a direct link to ACR’s schedule of event for the OSS portion of the series.  Again, that runs from April 19th to April 30th, offers 77 events guaranteeing more than $3,000,000, at buy-ins ranging from $1.10 to $540.  The OSS concludes with April 30th’s $1,000,000 GTD Main Event.

And here’s a direct link to ACR’s schedule of events for May’s five-day BOSS series, the wrap-up to this year’s OSS Cub3d.  The BOSS series offers 17 events, guaranteeing more than $2,000,000, with buy-ins ranging from $55 to $2,100.  The BOSS series, as well as the 2017 OSS Cub3d, concludes with May 7th’s $750,000 Main Event.
