Winning Poker Network Announces OSS Cub3d V Series

Updated: January 31st, 2018 by Dev Ops

The Winning Poker Network and its flagship site, America’s Cardroom, have just announced the dates for the upcoming fifth iteration of WPN’s Online Super Series Cub3d. OSS Cub3d, as it’s generally abbreviated will return on February 25th, 2018, and run for a full 29 days, through March 25th, 2018. And this time, there’s a full $15 million in guaranteed prize money at stake.

Full details of the upcoming OSS Cub3d series have yet to be released, including the complete schedule. (Check back soon for more on that.) The series is sure to have just as thorough and varied a slate as the previous OSS Cub3d, offered last fall, and it will also likely to have the full complement of leaderboard prizes and satellite entry paths that make most of the events accessible to almost every player.

What we do know, courtesy of a promotional update over at ACR, are the dates for each of the three parts of the series, which run in rotation over the 29 days of play on WPN. Here’s how ACR describes the three parts of the series:

The Mini Online Super Series (February 25th to March 4th): A tournament series for small stakes players. The MOSS proves you don’t need a big bankroll to hit a massive score!

Online Super Series (March 5th to March 18th): Our flagship tournament series has something for everyone!

Bigger Online Super Series (March 19th to March 25th): Our last tournament series is the BOSS. Designed for the highest of rollers, it features big buy-in/small field tournaments with huge guarantees!

That flagship OSS portion in the middle, the Online Super Series, is the original precursor of the “Cub3d” format. It’s actually OSS XII (the twelfth such OSS series), even if ACR hasn’t gotten around to affixing a Roman numeral or two quite yet into the text of their promotions… though the logo’s been taken of!

The $15 million (and change) in total guarantees for the upcoming OSS Cub3d is also a new high, topping by a cool million the $14M guaranteed in advance last fall. The actual amount paid out was quite a bit higher, since most events exceeded listed guarantees. All that money will be spread out over a massive slate of events, with perhaps 400 or more tourneys to be included in the complete OSS Cub3d when that schedule comes out in early February.

So, if you need a break from watching the Olympics — or perhaps you’ll be playing a little online poker on the side as you watch — then America’s Cardroom and the Winning Poker Network offer a good place to spend a few hours, courtesy of the latest iteration of the OSS Cub3d.
